I was raised on gumbo and Jazz music - in New Orleans, a city that sings in the rain, rarely sleeps, with folks that sway like the current of the mighty Mississippi River.
When I became an expat, I evolved into a hybrid version of myself, cross pollinating with so many other parts of the planet, creating a sometimes lonely and passive identity crisis.
As a result of my life as a Cajun Nomadic Momma, my yoga journey began with breath work, out of a need to create space and expansiveness in my own life.
Yoga was the first door that I opened and it became a magic carpet of self-discovery. Paralleling my yoga discovery was Pilates. It felt like the kind of disciplined movement that my body was craving.
All doors inward, eventually open windows outward and so my teaching journey began.
I believe in movement and I think whatever path that helps you to get there in an empowering and functional way, is a good path.
Your body tells a story - in its structure and its movement.
As a teacher, I try to listen and help my student's bodies express themselves in a healthy way.
I layer my classes with silly voices, throwback playlists and often a mini dance party.
I am a registered E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance, certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, kids through the Groovy Kids program and Yin yoga through Jo Phee, a senior student and teaching assistant to Paul Grilley.
I am trained in Pilates Mat and Reformer and in the process of completing my certification through Balanced Body.
Yours in good vibes,
