This masterclass if for everybody; girls, boys, big, small, tall, short, stiff, stretchy, newbies and seasoned sun saluters (and anything in between). An open vinyasa class that will move from the sweaty and strong poses, to the subtle surrender of the practice. Friday Jan 26, 11am – 1.30pm: Asana Addict (Power Yoga & Inversions Workshop) A fun-filled workshop where we acknowledge, indulge and explore the physical side to the practice with advanced arm balances & progressive sequencing. Step in and explore the details and principals of the alignment necessary to fly. Instead of pushing through the pose we focus on the anatomical alignment to work smarter, not harder. We break down the details of 3 arm balances; Crow, Koundinyasana & Astavrakrasana, then we’ll learn to link them together in flow and flight. Friday Jan 26, 2.30 – 5pm: The Way of the Warrior (Power Yoga) A Power Vinyasa Masterclass that honours that builds the heat and fire of the practice. This is a vinyasa flow class that will explore the strength, courage and kindness of the Warrior and challenge your mindfulness throughout a long and strong, slow dynamic ladder flow. Through controlled motion and presence in the alignment, this class will clear the mind, empower the body and inspire the spirit. Saturday Jan 27, 11am-1.3pm: How to Build a Bridge (Back-bending) To build a strong backbend, you have to build a solid foundation. This workshop focuses on the 3 key components necessary to deepen, open and develop your spinal flexion. Once the foundations are built we’ll explore different ways to move the body in bridges, wheels, wheel variations & drop backs. The is a great workshop for knowledge seekers and asana addicts. Saturday Jan 27, 2.30 – 5pm: Breathe In, Bliss Out (Restorative) The exhale is everything. It's how we create space, it's how we let go. In this class we will spend time with the breath & body in this gentle restorative & meditation flow. A beautifully slow practice that will focus on the bliss of the exhale while moving the body simply to find the sweetness of the release. This class will focus on longer, deeper & restorative poses and end with a meditation.
